Before founding Cornerstone Land Solutions, Jonathan Kelley spent nearly a decade working alongside contractors in the electrical construction industry. In that environment, he saw firsthand how often trust breaks down—not because people don’t work hard, but because expectations aren’t clearly set and communication falls short once a project is underway.
With a background in Electrical Engineering from The Citadel, Jonathan was trained to think methodically, solve complex problems, and understand how individual decisions affect the final outcome. His career in sales and management further shaped his belief that technical skill alone isn’t enough—clear communication, accountability, and respect for the customer experience are just as critical.
Over time, Jonathan felt called to build something more hands-on and purpose-driven, work that allowed him to serve others directly while operating with generosity, integrity, and responsibility. Rooted in his Christian faith, he believes that running a good business means more than producing results; it means caring for people, honoring commitments, and giving back to the community around you.
As the owner and operator of Cornerstone, Jonathan remains personally involved in every aspect of the business—from estimates and planning to on-site work and customer communication. While that responsibility is demanding, it allows him to ensure that every project is handled with the same care, professionalism, and attention to detail that Cornerstone was founded on.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, particularly waterfowl hunting. When he’s not working, he finds his greatest fulfillment as a husband and father to his young daughter.
